Cc Foundation’s collection includes nearly 1,000 art works by 250 artists, such as Ad Minoliti, Adrián Villar Rojas, Aki Sasamoto, Allora and Calzadilla, Amalia Pica, Anne Imhof, Anri Sala, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Brian Jungen, Cao Fei, Christina Quarles, Damián Ortega, Danh Vo, Eric Mack, Hao Liang, Henry Taylor, Hu Xiaoyuan, Huma Bhabha, Lauren Halsey, Liu Wei, Lu Yang, Kelly Akashi, Neïl Beloufa, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Philippe Parreno, Pierre Huyghe, Portia Zvavahera, Qiu Xiaofei, Shilpa Gupta, Simphiwe Ndzube, Sky Hopinka, Slavs and Tatars, Stan Douglas, Wilfredo Prieto, Xu Zhen, Yang Fudong, and Zhang Enli among many others.

Founded by Mr. David Chau in Shanghai in 2015, Cc Foundation aspires to build a comprehensive collection and organize exhibitions to promote cultural diversity, inclusivity and equality on a global scale. The Foundation primarily focuses on emerging and mid-career artists, especially artists of color and women from the Pacific Rim and the Global South, in which China is positioned. Through the artists' works—produced from 1980s to the present—that address key issues of our times, the collection aims to capture significant moments in art making, and engages in artistic, intellectual and social discourses with a wide range of audiences to facilitate connections across cultures.

The Foundation's approach to collecting art is guided by the desire to investigate discourses from the regions beyond the Euro-America-centric network, canon and narrative, in a hope to understand artistic and intellectual exchanges and developments from different viewpoints to encourage exercising cultural agency for code switching in the contemporary art world.

The Foundation takes special pride in loaning and donating works to Guggenheim Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Centre Pompidou, Shanghai Biennale and Guangzhou Airport Biennial in the past. We look forward to continuing collaborating with artists, museums and institutions worldwide.
