Cc Foundation is a non-profit organization initiated by Shanghai-based collector and entrepreneur David Chau in 2015, committing to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and cultural equality in the field of contemporary art on a global scale.

The foundation’s project space in Shanghai is a platform for emerging Chinese and international artists to present their own narratives and to engage with both local and global audiences, in a hope to ignite conversations from heterogeneous viewpoints. We have had opportunities to organize exhibitions with artists, such as Amalia Pica, Ryan Gander, Katie Ryan, Katja Novitskova, Simphiwe Ndzube, Donna Huanca, and Neil Beloufa, etc. The space is open to the public for free. 

Our collection includes works by Cao Fei, Lu Yang, Yang Fudong, Liu Wei, Wilfredo Prieto, Adrian Villar Rojas, Christina Quarles, Kelly Akashi, Rashid Johnson, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Damian Ortega, Slavs & Tatars, Helen Marten, Philippe Parreno, Lavar Munroe, and Portia Zvavahera, among many others. The foundation has loaned or donated works to Shanghai Biennale, Guangzhou Airport Biennial, Guggenheim Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Centre Pompidou, etc.
