Super Archives was curated by David Chau and opened on November 18, 2015. The exhibition featured a major video by New York-based artist, Paul Chan, and a new story by Shanghai–based artist, Lu Pingyuan. This event was Cc Foundation’s first exhibition since its establishment.
Both artists’ works went beyond the limitations of materiality: they demonstrated a spiritual core and an ethereal form. Lu Pingyuan expressed his artistic notions through the narration of some enigmatic stories, while Paul Chan was mostly renown for his sharp critique on society and publications. They extended their practice and use archives to redefine art, presenting “Super Archives” from our era.
