Liang Hao, born in 1988 in Guangdong Province, lives and works in Shanghai. He graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University in 2012. Centered on painting while extending into other media, Liang’s practice investigates the dynamic relationship between the hand, the gaze, and the mind. By constructing illusions of technical production, he reconsiders manual skill and the affective forces that flow through it, often referencing images from art history or textual sources. His work operates between formal exploration and conceptual reflection. Liang has held solo exhibitions at institutions such as the He Art Museum and BANK, Shanghai, and has participated in exhibitions at major museums and art spaces in China and abroad. His works are included in prominent public and private collections internationally.
